Reflections on Painting

To be capable of making a painting, one has to believe that the painting is worth existing, regardless of whether or not one becomes personally responsible for the suffering of its creation.

Once one believes the painting is worth existing, one must be capable of carrying out the demands of the painting, regardless of the multiform cost.

If one does not become lost in self-deception, and makes the sacrifices necessary, the painting may be made that rings.
